In this post, I will share how I am getting more free YouTube leads. It’s a simple but powerful strategy that I recently fine-tuned.
If you are using YouTube to generate leads for your business, this is a must.
In fact, it is so good, you can get more leads from YouTube BEFORE anyone even watches a video!
Even though my YouTube channel has over 1,000 videos, this strategy is a big win for me. It is a big part of how I am able to do this full time. I know it can be effective for you too.
The key to this strategy is how you design your YouTube channel banner. This banner is the image at the very top of your YouTube channel page.
Obviously, it is the first impression visitors to your channel get. And it can be a terrific way to brand and promote you. But this is where too many marketers miss a big opportunity.
Here are a few critical details on how you design your channel banner. And yes, you can design it yourself. There is no reason to hire someone to do it for you. There are several good videos on YouTube on how to do it. So I won’t go into detail on that here.
Your banner must be a specific size. The recommended size is 2560 X 14400.
But critical information should be placed in what’s called “the safe zone”. This is an area 1546 X 423 in the center of the image. This “safe zone” is what is visible on mobile devices. A recent study I read said that 69% of YouTube viewership is on mobile devices.
Too many YouTube marketers do not take advantage of this. Your key info must be in the “safe zone”.

My most important information is in the “safe zone”, so it displays on mobile devices. That includes the web address of my #1 recommended income stream. It also includes a tag line to tie things together and a picture of me for branding purposes.
I was blown away when people told me they found my website that way. Again, even before watching a video.
If you use YouTube marketing, I encourage you to pay close attention to your channel banner. It can be a great source of free YouTube leads.
