Network Marketing Professional Or Hobbyist – Activities And Results

Are you a network marketing professional or just a hobbyist. In this post I will outline the specific kinds of activities each perform and the results they typically get.

Network marketing professionals spend their time performing different activities than hobbyists….and the results show

Hobbyists spend the bulk of their “working time” all wrong!

When it comes to what they consider lead generation and list building activities, hobbyists really stick out. They spend hours clicking around on silly traffic exchanges, sending out spam emails and texts, and emailing their company link to what are known as safe lists.

All hobbyists seem to know how to do is pitch their business.

Even if they do enroll a new team member that way, which is unlikely, that new business partner is destined to fail also as they will probably try to build their business the same way.

Remember…people will copy what you do. You have to teach them to copy what works!

Professionals on the other hand, take a more active approach to lead generation. Pros leverage online marketing systems. They are always ready to talk to a prospect in person or on the phone. They know how to use text message or Facebook messenger marketing effectively. Many pros include paid marketing methods such as solo ads in their routine.

The network marketing professional focuses on personal branding and promoting themselves as leaders and mentors. They generate leads by creating YouTube videos with tips and strategies to help other networkers, by maintaining a presence on social media like Facebook, or building their own network marketing blog.

Most network marketing professionals own the domain name of their own name.

Hobbyists are always whining about not getting enough sign ups and people quitting the business. Pros however, understand that it is a numbers game and you need to build a large list to have real success.

Pros also understand that even on a good team, people will quit. Attrition is just part of the game. Instead of whining about it, pros focus on mentoring their team to maximize success and keep generating more leads. When a team member does quit, their attitude is “go get another one”.

All is not lost if you are a hobbyist…just perform different activities

It really is a choice you can make!

If you have been trying to build your business using hobbyist strategies, it is not too late to change. Start spending your time performing the activities of a network marketing professional instead and watch your results soar.

To your success,

Joe Barclay
