Leads (also referred to as prospects) are people who have shown interest in a product or service. In the home business industry, the best leads are people who are actively looking for a way to achieve time and financial freedom. More often than not, my most responsive prospects will be those already in some type of home based business. They are already sold on the concept, but usually are not enjoying the level of success they were hoping for, and are looking for a solution.
The bulk of my online marketing targets them specifically. My goal is to add an average of 50 new people to my list every day. My best single day to date is 107 new leads. But even when you do an excellent job of attracting targeted leads, a large percentage of them still will not join your opportunity. It’s a fact of business that many will not tell you. Don’t fall for the hype!
However, all is not lost. I make money while I generate leads, even when prospects do not join my primary business. My main focus in business is creating more prospects each day. The money seems to take care of itself when you realize that as an online or network marketer, the business you are really in is lead generation and list building.
