If only it were that easy. Just a website, no matter how good it is, is almost never enough for effectively recruiting network marketing partners or building an affiliate marketing business.

Even if the website really was that good, you would still need to get people looking at it. Lots of people. In fact, getting traffic to your site is one of the most important tasks in online marketing.

It takes time to learn to generate targeted traffic. It takes a lot of money to buy quality traffic. But even if you do get lots of the right kind of traffic to your website on a daily basis, that alone still will not do the job.

For years we have taught and followed the Rule of 7. Now I don’t know if 7 is still the right number. It could be higher. It could be lower. But The Marketing Rule of 7 states that a prospect needs to hear or see the advertiser’s message at least 7 times before they’ll take action to buy that product or service.

That’s why you need more than just a website to do the “selling”

You need a complete system. We call this system a sales funnel. Typically, the “website” is the last step in the sales funnel.

The sales funnel starts with a landing page. It’s a one page website designed to do just one thing…collect a prospects contact information (at a minimum an email address) so you can follow up with them. This is the first step in list building.

Then you need an autoresponder. It’s a program that manages your list and sends emails to the prospects on the list automatically. These messages both build a relationship with your prospect and direct them back to the website at the right time, after multiple exposures.

Then, and only then, the website can do its job – if it’s an excellent website.
