Therefore, it is important to build and maintain credibility from the beginning. One of the most important ways to do so is by maintaining consistency in everything you do.

Promoting and building the same primary business for a long period of time. Think of how many networkers you have seen who are always starting a new business. Or, equally inconsistent, are trying to build several “primary” businesses at the same time. How can anyone expect to have real success when they continually jump from one business to another? Why would anyone want to work with you if you do that? You have no credibility.

Just as bad are the hobby type websites and marketing systems that allow you to add many different links. I see these all the time. What is your main business? Do you really think people will believe, respect, and trust you if you are focused on a number of different businesses?

Using and recommending the same marketing system and strategies over a long period of time. If you are constantly emailing your list about another new strategy or system to build their business, you will lose all credibility. You are telling your subscribers that all you really want to do is sell them something else. Nobody likes that.

Do your research. Carefully select your mentor, marketing system, and business. Then stick with it and work it consistently.
