In this blog post, I want to share what I think is the best affiliate marketing tool. No matter what affiliate offer you promote, it is essential. If you are in affiliate marketing, or thinking about getting into it, this is information you need.
If you are new to the idea, affiliate marketing is where you sell someone else’s product or service and get paid a commission. There are affiliate programs for almost everything you can think of.
There are multiple ways to market an affiliate offer. Many people use their marketing to send prospects directly to the product or offer’s sales page. This can get some results, however, I have found that this is not the best way to do it.
I have found it is far more effective to build a list and market to it, rather than try to sell your offer directly. Not just because the old rule of thumb is that on average it takes 7 exposures to make a sale, but because by building a list you can market additional offers to it in the future, too.
Building a list and marketing to it is actually easy to do. You only need a couple of things.
First, you need a landing page or lead capture page. This is a simple web page designed to do one thing…get a prospect to fill out a form and leave their contact information, Typically, name and email address are collected.

The other thing you need, and this is what I consider to be the best affiliate marketing tool, is an autoresponder. An autoresponder is a program that maintains your email list and sends messages to it. There are many to choose from.
