In this blog post, I want to share why the Mailerlite autoresponder is no longer recommended. I also explain why I stopped using Mailerlite for my email marketing.
I have been marketing online almost since the beginning of the Internet. Email marketing has always been my favorite and most productive marketing strategy.
Using an excellent email autoresponder has been critical to my success.
So, just what is an email autoresponder?
An autoresponder is the program that manages your email list and automates email marketing.
Some of the functions it performs include:
Collect and store contact information like name and email address.
Send out pre-written emails in a series.
Send out one-time email broadcasts.
Handle unsubscribes.
Split testing of subject lines.
Automate tasks such as removing inactive subscribers.
Over the years, I have used several email autoresponders. Some of the big names. Some of the not so big names, including a free autoresponder. I even had my own autoresponder that I ran from my computer.
Using the best email autoresponder is not only a time saver, but more importantly, can have a big impact on email marketing results.
Like most marketing tools, the prices we pay for email autoresponders can be all over the place.
For a long time, I used what I considered to be the very best email autoresponder. It had the features I wanted, was easy to use, and offered good support. Most importantly, my emails got excellent deliverability with it. Deliverability is the percentage of emails that you send that end up in your subscriber’s inbox.
How I started using the Mailierlite autoresponder
But, the autoresonder I was using was expensive. And a couple years ago, it went thru a price increase. So, I started looking for another email autoresponder. That’s when I found Mailerlite.
Mailerlite had features very similar to the autoresponder I had been using. In fact, it almost looked like Mailerlite had tried to clone it. But it had a much lower price.
There really wasn’t much of a learning curve. My emails got excellent results. So, I switched all of my lists over to Mailerlite.
Several months later, Mailerlite contacted me about violating their policy against affiliate marketing. I guess I missed that when I bought it. It really blew my mind as they even have an affiliate program! According to their policy, they still prohibit affiliate marketing.
This was major. I am an affiliate marketer. I have done it for years. It is always my top recommendation for new people wanting to make money online.
And even if you are not in affiliate marketing today, this should still be a major issue for you.
Why I no longer use or recommend the Mailerlite autoresponder
Imagine the disappointment of building a large, high converting list using the Mailerlite autoresponder. And then down the road you decide to do affiliate marketing, but can’t use your list.
Don’t make this mistake. This is the reason why I no longer recommend Mailerlite.
Go here to learn about the email autoresponder I now use and recommend. It’s simple to use, has advanced automation features, and gets excellent results. And yes, it is the autoresponder I left for Mailerlite. If you use my link, you can get it for free!
Let me know if you have any questions.
To your success,
