Don’t Let Cheap Keep You Broke In Affiliate Or Network Marketing

It can be a huge mistake and yet it happens all too often. Don’t let cheap keep you broke. I see it in both affiliate marketing and network marketing. In this post, I will share the two most common places the mistake is made to help you not fall victim to it.

don't let cheap keep you broke

There are 2 main areas being cheap can really hurt you in the long run.

Don’t let cheap keep you broke when you join a business

Whether it’s affiliate marketing or network marketing, the enrollment choices you make will have a long-term effect on your success. It is critical that you join a business at the enrollment level that positions you to meet your goals.

All too often, new people will join a business at the cheapest option available. And I get it. Sometimes money can be a challenge. There have been many times I have suggested that a person wait until they can get started the right way because it is so important.

For example, my network marketing business has several enrollment options: customer, part-time, full-time, and all in. When you start at the cheapest level available, you do not set yourself up for maximum income from the comp plan. When you decide to “give it a try and see what happens” you rarely have real success.

But starting cheap can hurt you in more ways than that. You are not making a real commitment to the business or yourself. You are not positioning yourself to be worthy of a lot of your mentor’s time. And you will have difficulty getting your new people started the right way too. It just doesn’t work when a new prospect asks how you started, and you tell them you started with the cheapest package, but they should go all in.

Marketing tools and systems are no place to buy based on lowest price either

I’ll share a perfect example from my affiliate marketing business. We share an exclusive marketing system where we deliver high quality email leads into team member’s autoresponders on a daily basis. We even provide the emails for them to run.

The marketing system requires an autoresponder with certain features. We provide a list of compatible autoresponders and highly recommend this autoresponder to our team.

At the same time, we strongly recommend against another compatible autoresponder because the deliverability is awful. You will not get the same results. Yet people will buy it because it only costs half as much. This is a perfect example of how buying cheap can set you up for failure.

I’m not one for wasting money. I try to do my research and seek advice before making purchases. I rarely over-buy. But at the same time, I try not to set myself up for disappointment by buying cheap. Don’t let cheap keep you broke.

To your success,

Joe Barclay
