Know When Email Is Opened – How To Do It With Free Tracker

Imagine being able to know when email is opened. In this post I will share how I use a free email tracker to tell me that and much more.

know when email is opened

Think of how many times you have sent an email and waited for a response. How often you have wondered if the person ever received it. Or more importantly, how frequently have you guessed if they actually opened the email and read it?

Maybe after not getting a response, you have sent a second email and had the same problem. Face it, waiting for a reply can be aggravating and time-wasting. Well, here is the solution…and it’s free.

Knowing when email is opened is super convenient for both business and non-business emails

I was thinking of how many ways this would be convenient in personal life. For example, when you send an email to a tenant reminding them that the rent is late. Or when you reply to an ad on Craigslist and don’t hear back from the seller. And how about when you send out notices about the family reunion that’s coming up. There are so many times it would be great to have this ability.

When I can text message someone, I prefer to do that. Statistics show that almost all text messages get opened and read. And it usually happens almost immediately. But there are so many times you have to rely on email.

However, where I really like being able to know when email is opened is in my network marketing business. For example, when a prospect asks for the link to my website, I prefer to give it by email or text rather than phone.

The real reward is for personalized follow up emails

Almost all of our team’s business email is handled by the autoresponder. It gives us tracking information and a whole lot more. In addition to using an autoresponder with pre-written emails, we teach our team to use a personalized email sent from their email client also.

When a new person joins our business and team, a prompt follow up is important. For sure, a phone call is the most effective, but sometimes is not possible. Even if we can reach the new team member by phone or text, an email is used also.

In addition to a warm welcome, this email also includes contact information and most importantly, the link to get plugged into our team’s members only training. It is critical to know when this email is opened. Getting new people plugged in and started correctly on their first day is a big part of our team’s success.

What the tracker does

There are several programs for email tracking. I use and really like the free version of Mailtrack for Gmail. It only takes seconds to install. Using it, I know the instant an email is opened and read. It even tells me how many times the recipient opened the email.

It’s just what I need. However, they also offer Pro and Advanced versions for those wanting even more features.

If you are working on being a network marketing professional, I encourage you to use a free tracker so you always know when email is opened.

To your success,

Joe Barclay
