You can not trust all network marketing online reviews
A recent article in Forbes makes it clear you can not trust online reviews. According to the article, bogus reviews are an epidemic. It says companies constantly plant positive reviews of their own product and slam competitor’s products with negative reviews.
It goes so far as to answer the question “Should I trust online reviews?” And the answer they give is NO. Not all of them!
Another problem that leads to the lack of credibility of reviews is what is known as clickbait. Clickbait is when someone uses their content just to get you to click on one of their links.
Sometimes it’s just a wild title to an article or post. More common in network marketing is a supposed review of a company, product, or service. Frequently they will use a provocative title like “Is XYZ a scam?” to get your attention and drive you to their post. Then the blog post will direct you to a “better option” by clicking a link to their site. Do not fall for it!
It’s not just about wasted money
In the network marketing industry in particular, falling for bogus reviews goes far beyond just wasted money. It’s also about wasted time, disappointment, and frustration. It can actually be terminal for a new business partner who was really counting on a particular service or business-building tool to get their new business started.
